Kritik Orientalis dalam Aspek Ontologis Studi Al-Qur’an

This article analyzes the Orientalists who study Qur'an, they are Abraham Geiger, Theodore Noldeke, William Muir, and John Wansbrough. research uses descriptive analysis methods to find out how view think about Qur'an. The main data is collected from books related Orientalist thought as well scientific journals. results found several views of Qur'an in ontological aspect. Geiger argues that influenced by Judaism which includes: various stories Qur’an, morals, laws, life, language, faith. Prophet Muhammad took a lot Jewish cultures integrated them into Islam. Meanwhile, Noldeke alleged was composed many its contents were plagiarized Bible. His criticism can be summarized two points.
